China’s controversial boarding school policy for Tibetans, RFA Reports

The Gangjong Sherig Norbu School in Qinghai, known for its strong Tibetan curriculum, has been shut down by Chinese authorities. According to a report by RFA, Students will now attend Chinese-run boarding schools with a Mandarin-focused curriculum that promotes party loyalty. This shift reflects China's broader education policy, which emphasizes Mandarin over Tibetan, raising concerns about cultural assimilation and loss of Tibetan identity.
