The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) continues its secret discussions with China, with the latest contact occurring earlier this month, says Sikyong Penpa Tsering. These talks aim to address the Tibet issue, although no immediate outcomes are expected. Tsering highlighted recent moves by India, such as facilitating a US Congressional visit to the Dalai Lama and skipping the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, as responses to China's actions. He also emphasized the importance of the US Resolve Tibet Act, which supports Tibetan self-determination and disputes China's historical claims over Tibet.
