Australian Parliamentary Group Congratulates Tibetan Leader Penpa Tsering

The All-Party Australian Parliamentary Group for Tibet officially congratulated Sikyong Penpa Tsering on his decisive re-election as the political leader of the Central Tibetan Administration. In a joint letter, parliamentary co-chairs from major political parties expressed their continued solidarity with the Tibetan cause. Crucially, the group strongly reaffirmed that the future succession and reincarnation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is strictly a matter of religious freedom. The lawmakers emphasized that this sacred spiritual tradition must remain entirely free from any political interference or control by the Chinese government, while extending an invitation for Tsering to visit Australia.
