USAID, in collaboration with The Tibet Fund and the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), launched a five-year initiative on November 25, 2024, to bolster the economic, social, and cultural resilience of Tibetan communities in India and Nepal. According to USAID Mission Director Dr. Steven Olive, the Tibetan Economic, Social, and Cultural (TESC) programme reflects a long-standing partnership to preserve Tibetan identity. Tibetan leaders and CTA officials highlighted achievements in education, healthcare, and cultural preservation supported by USAID. The launch, held at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, featured cultural performances and reaffirmed commitments to Tibetan self-reliance.
