Rescuers in Tibet have saved over 400 people trapped in rubble after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Tingri, close to Mount Everest, on Tuesday, reports CCTV. With freezing overnight temperatures dropping to -18°C, many remain missing, raising fears of hypothermia. The tremor, one of the strongest in the region in years, also affected Nepal, Bhutan, and India. At least 126 deaths and 188 injuries have been confirmed in Tibet. Footage shows temporary shelters set up for displaced families as hundreds of aftershocks persist. The US Geological Survey noted terrain shifts of up to 1.6 meters near the epicenter.
