Hayashi Shuei, former principal of Setagaya Gakuen School, along with staff and students, visited Tibet House Japan on January 30 to support Tibetans affected by the recent 7.1-magnitude earthquake. The school organized fundraising activities and delivered donations. Dr. Tsewang Gyalpo Arya, representative of the Dalai Lama’s Liaison Office, thanked them and blamed the disaster on excessive dam construction and mining by the Chinese government. He also spoke about Tibetan history and SEE-learning. The Dalai Lama has visited the school three times in the past, delivering teachings to students and staff.
