Tibetan rights activist Tsering Tso, 39, was detained for two weeks from Nov. 29 to Dec. 13 in Qinghai province for allegedly “spreading false information” and “causing trouble” on social media, according to Radio Free Asia. Her detention followed a video she posted showing police denying her passport application. Tso, previously detained multiple times, often criticizes Chinese authorities for discrimination against Tibetans. Upon release, she denounced police practices in a defiant WeChat post. Tso, who also runs a travel business, highlights challenges Tibetans face in business and frequent official harassment. Her current condition remains unclear.
