On 15 February 2025, former Tibetan political prisoner Namkyi arrived in Munich, Germany, where she shared her testimony about Tibetans' struggles under Chinese rule. She was accompanied by CTA and Tibet Bureau Geneva officials and welcomed by Tibet Initiative Deutschland (TID). Namkyi addressed the public at Kulturzentrum GOROD, speaking to over 80 attendees, including Uyghur and human rights representatives. She called for global support despite risks to her family. Her visit coincided with the Munich Security Conference, providing a platform to highlight Tibetan political prisoners’ plight. She is scheduled to meet German Foreign Office representatives on 16 February.
