A study by the University of Basel, commissioned by Swiss authorities, reveals that Tibetans and Uyghurs in Switzerland face systematic surveillance by China. According to the report, members of these communities, along with Swiss citizens supporting them, are monitored, photographed, and filmed. In response, the Swiss government recommends stronger prevention, coordination, and awareness measures. It also aims to educate federal, cantonal, and communal services about transnational repression. The study was conducted following a parliamentary request to assess foreign interference in Switzerland.
