The Australian Tibetan Youth Leadership and Advocacy Training launched on 12 February 2025 at the Karuna Retreat Centre in the Blue Mountains, Australia. Organized by the Tibet Information Office, the program gathered 30 young Tibetans from six regions to develop leadership skills and engage with key stakeholders. Speakers included CTA spokesperson Tenzin Lekshay, Councillor Suzie Van Opdorp, and Australia Tibet Council’s Dr. Zoe Bedford. The event emphasized advocacy, community engagement, and unity. Participants engaged in training sessions following the inaugural ceremony, marking the start of an empowering program.
