KuNgo Gyalo Thondup’s Cremation Ceremony Held with Honor in Kalimpong

The cremation ceremony of Gyalo Thondup was conducted with deep respect this morning at 7 AM in Kalimpong, led by Khochhen Rinpoche and other senior monks. His sister Jetsun Pema, family members, Sikkim’s Minister Sonam Lama, Speaker Mingma Narbu Sherpa, MLA Aditya Tamang, CTA President Penpa Tsering, and dignitaries from various institutions attended. With prayers and solemn tributes, attendees honored his lifelong dedication to Tibet. Simultaneously, the Tibetan Youth Congress held a prayer service in Dharamsala, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family and praying for his auspicious rebirth, as wished by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
