Union minister Kiren Rijiju engaged with Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers near Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, during a Diwali visit to an Indian Army post along the India Tibet border. In a video shared on social media, Rijiju, accompanied by an interpreter, asked PLA soldiers about their experience in the high-altitude region, situated 15,000 feet above sea level. The Chinese troops responded that they were comfortable with the conditions, as reported by PTI. Rijiju's visit emphasized diplomatic communication in a region often marked by heightened tensions between India and China.
