Tibetans in Mainpat Host Gratitude Event for Tibet Resolve Act

On July 17, 2024, Phendeling Mainpat Tibetan Settlement Office held a ceremony to thank President Joe Biden for enacting the Tibet Resolve Act. The event began at 8:30 a.m. with a Sangsol ceremony at Dhagpo Shedrubling Monastery. The Settlement Officer reviewed efforts to pass the bill and thanked the community and the U.S. President. A traditional Tibetan circle dance followed. Attendees included representatives from the Monastery, Local Legislative Assembly, Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement, Federation of Tibetan Cooperative in India, healthcare professionals, and NGO members.
