Tibetan content creator Tashi Nyima, known as Gang Lhaja, was suspended from live-streaming on China's KuaiShou platform on August 28 after authorities intervened. Gang Lhaja, who promotes Tibetan language and culture, was also detained and beaten by police. Despite having over 75,000 followers, his rising influence within Tibetan communities led to increased scrutiny. He expressed frustration in a video, stating that his efforts to promote Tibetan culture were unjustly hindered. According to TCHRD, this is part of a broader crackdown on Tibetan content creators by Chinese authorities.
