Tibet Receives Zero in ‘Freedom in the World 2025’ Report

Tibet has again received the lowest possible freedom rating in the Freedom in the World 2025 report by Freedom House, scoring 0 out of 100. The report highlights severe restrictions on political rights and civil liberties under Chinese rule, citing mass surveillance, arbitrary detentions, and forced assimilation policies. Tibet has now held this rating for two consecutive years. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) continues to suppress Tibetan religious and cultural identity while promoting Han Chinese migration. Human rights groups have condemned Beijing’s policies, calling for greater international attention to Tibet’s deteriorating freedoms.
