Tawang Conference Revives Legacy of 6th Dalai Lama

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated an international conference in Tawang honoring the 6th Dalai Lama, Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso. Highlighting the event at the spiritual leader's birthplace, Khandu noted the public's limited awareness of his immense cultural and literary legacy. He urged for a revival of this heritage across the Himalayan belt. The symposium, organized by the Department of Karmik and Adhyatmik Affairs and partners, features global scholars and performances by Tibetan institutes. Experts aim to collate the 6th Dalai Lama’s dispersed works and celebrate his unique bridge between spiritual and secular life.
