Shimla Tibetans Thank US President for Enacting 'Resolve Tibet Act'

The Tibetan community in Shimla celebrated the signing of the 'Resolve Tibet Act' by US President Joe Biden, urging a peaceful resolution to the Tibet-China conflict. This new law, signed last week, challenges China's occupation of Tibet and promotes international law. The ceremony at Sambhota Tibetan School included traditional dances and heartfelt speeches. Tsewang Phuntsok of the Central Tibetan Administration called the legislation a "landmark" that pressures China to negotiate with the Dalai Lama. Activist Tenzin Palden and others expressed deep gratitude to the US for supporting their struggle.
