Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her roles in films like “Queen,” today with the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Himachal Pradesh, an encounter she described as one of the most memorable moments of her life.

This meeting, reported by ANI, occurred amidst her active campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, where she is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

During her visit, which took place in Dharamshala, Ranaut shared several pictures with His Holiness on social media, expressing her happiness about the meeting. She mentioned how His Holiness the Dalai Lama enjoys his time in Himachal Pradesh and his love for India, emphasizing the special nature of their interaction.

Kangana Ranaut’s entry into politics has been marked by her decision to run from her hometown Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. In her public appearances and speeches, she has strongly endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging her supporters to see themselves as extensions of his ideology.

At a recent rally in Kullu, she highlighted themes of nationalism and her support for Modi’s leadership.

Ranaut’s campaign strategies seem to blend her film persona with her political ambitions, focusing on strong, nationalist rhetoric that aligns with her party’s ideologies.

The Mandi constituency, traditionally a stronghold of the Congress party, presents a challenging battleground for Ranaut. Her campaign is set against a backdrop of significant regional importance, where the BJP aims to consolidate its influence following victories in previous elections.

The results of the upcoming polls, scheduled for June 1, are eagerly awaited, with implications for both local governance and national political trends.

This foray into politics is complemented by her ongoing work in cinema, with her upcoming film “Emergency,” where she steps into the role of director, highlighting her multifaceted career.
