Gyaltsen Norbu, the China-appointed and fake Panchen Lama, has publicly reasserted Beijing’s claim of authority over the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. In a recent statement, Norbu declared that the selection of the next spiritual leader must strictly follow Chinese national laws, religious rituals, and historical customs, including the use of the "Golden Urn." His remarks serve as a direct rebuttal to the Dalai Lama’s recent assertion that his successor would be born in a "free country" to avoid political manipulation. Norbu, often referred to by Tibetans as the "fake Panchen," emphasized loyalty to the Communist Party’s sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism.
