In a significant move to advocate for Tibetan rights, the “Europe for Tibet” campaign was unveiled in the European Parliament, as reported by Tibet.net. This initiative comes ahead of the European elections set for June 6-9, 2024, aiming to rally support for Tibet from candidates and political parties across the member states.

The campaign, co-organized by the Office of Tibet in Brussels and the International Campaign for Tibet, with backing from the Offices of Tibet in London and Geneva as well as the International Tibet Network, seeks to gather pledges of support for Tibet from 2024 European election candidates. The campaign’s website, eu4tibet.org, is designed as a hub for various groups championing Tibetan freedoms to engage with election candidates regarding their stance on Tibet.
