Chinese authorities have illegally seized land in Zhongri village, Tsonga township, Markam County, Tibet, since 2020 for mining and construction without compensating local Tibetans, according to TIbet Post. Videos from March 2025 show serious environmental destruction, including floods, soil erosion, and loss of farmland and livestock.
