Chinese authorities have extended the prison sentence of Tibetan environmental activist Tsongon Tsering by eight months after he refused to admit charges of "disrupting social order," reports Radio Free Asia. Tsering, 29, was arrested in October after posting a video criticizing illegal sand mining in Ngaba, Sichuan. His family faces strict surveillance, with his mother’s health deteriorating due to stress. Authorities reportedly pressured him to confess, but he refused. Tsering has been transferred to a prison in Barkham, while restrictions in the region remain tight, highlighting China's crackdown on Tibetan activism.
