In a significant event that marks a new chapter in the global Buddhist community, His Holiness the Dalai Lama inaugurated the First International Sangha Forum in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. This landmark forum, held at the International Convention Centre, saw a congregation of Buddhist leaders and practitioners from diverse traditions and countries.

His Holiness, greeted with traditional dances and warm welcomes, emphasized the importance of the Forum in facilitating a dialogue on Buddhism‘s role in the contemporary world. He highlighted the need for understanding and cooperation among the various Buddhist traditions, underscoring the shared benefits of study and practice across all schools of Buddhism.

During the inauguration, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, alongside dignitaries like the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu, and the Ganden Tri Rinpoché, initiated the proceedings by lighting a lamp of wisdom.
