Advocate Fights for Justice Outside High Court

Tibetan justice seeker Gonpo Kyi is once again peacefully protesting in Lhasa. She is demanding a fair trial for her brother, Dorjee Tashi, a well-known Tibetan businessman wrongfully imprisoned. On February 20, 2024, she laid down in front of the People’s High Court in Lhasa as part of her ongoing plea for justice, as reported by Tibet Times.

Long Battle for Brother’s Freedom

Dorjee Tashi faced a life sentence in a closed trial back in 2010. Despite serving ten years and numerous appeals from his family and lawyer for a fair review, there has been no change in his case. Gonpo Kyi has been at the forefront, consistently calling for a re-examination of her brother’s case.
