DHARAMSALA: The revered Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, returned to Dharamshala this morning after a month-long spiritual sojourn in Ladakh. The streets of Dharamshala resonated with joy and devotion as Tibetans, monks, nuns, and well-wishers gathered in large numbers to welcome their beloved leader.

His Holiness’s visit to Ladakh was marked by multiple spiritual teachings, further cementing his role as a beacon of wisdom and guidance for his followers. The return was not just a homecoming but a celebration of his successful outreach in Ladakh.

Upon his arrival at the Gaggal airport, a delegation from the Central Tibetan Administration, including Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, and Kyabje Jonang Gyaltsab Rinpoche, was present to greet him, as reported by Tibet.net. The streets leading to the Tsuglagkhang temple were lined with hundreds of devotees, eager for a glimpse of His Holiness.

The atmosphere at Kangra airport was electric, with Tibetan artists performing traditional opera dances and songs, adding to the festive spirit. Monks, nuns, and laypeople alike expressed their joy and reverence for the spiritual leader.

In a brief interaction with the media at Kangra airport, His Holiness mentioned his fruitful visit to Ladakh and reassured everyone of his good health. His departure from Dharamshala on July 8 culminated in a month-long journey, enriching and enlightening for many.

Tenzin Tsundue, an exiled Tibetan, shared his sentiments with ANI News, stating, “His Holiness the Dalai Lama is approaching Dharamshala after his visit to Ladakh. He is coming back after about two months and we have come here to see him and to welcome him. He is our spiritual leader and it’s really important to see him and to welcome him here in Dharamshala.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Tenzin Nyidon, another exiled Tibetan, expressed, “We all are gathered here today as his holiness the dalai lama is approaching here after his Laddakh visit and we all are very happy to welcome him and to see him. Even though we live in Dharamshala, we feel very blessed and happy to see him whenever he goes somewhere or returns here, so we come here to get his blessings.”
